Passionate about wine, Marie and Benoit Lombrière took over parts of Marie’s parents Domain which is located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. They were helped in this undertaking by Alaric de Portal.
Cuvée Marie is the result of a search to find a better balance between fifty-year-old grenache vines and both syrah and mourvèdre.
This wine combines the subtle expressiveness of roussane with white grenache. Only 1.000 numbered bottles are produced each year.

"Cuvée Marie: fine wine, dense and robust with character and an evolving taste in the mouth. 16,5/20. Cuvée Thaïs: Expressive aroma with a powerful taste, full and intense. A fine discovery to not be missed. 18/20."
Roberto Petronio, Revue du vin de France
"Beautiful freshness, voluptuous and subtle ending, dominated by grenache, well matured, spicy with a touch of prune, spices, not to strong on the tannins, well brought on. 16/20”.
Olivier Poussier, World’s best sommelier for the year 2000
"Blind-tasted. Bright but transparent cherry red. Smells quite intriguing and already complex. Sweet palate and fine (ripe) tannins. Lots of nerve. Well-judged and clean fruit. Appetizing. 17,5/20."
Jancis Robinson, international critic and personal sommelier to the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
